Dr. Veronica Schommer:
Kids and cows.  As you can see by my photo, these are two of the most important things in my life.  My name is Dr. Veronica Schommer.  I grew up near Baldwin on a family dairy farm.  I owned my first dairy calf, a Jersey named Skippy, at the age of three.  This love of cows led me to attend veterinary school in Madison.  After graduating in 2005, I spent 5 years practicing in Turtle Lake as a mixed animal veterinarian.  I began working at Baldwin Veterinary Center in the spring of 2010. My main areas of interest are dairy medicine, surgery, and reproductive health.  I own a small herd of dairy cattle that I keep at my parents farm.  However, I don't limit myself to cows.  I also have 2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 goats, and 2 rabbits.  The other important part of my life includes my husband, Jon and two boys, Noah and Eli.  I spend the majority of my free time with my family and love watching my boys grow and learn.  I truly enjoy my job as a veterinarian, and look forward to working with you!
